Jared Smith, PA-C
A Redding native, Jared Smith received an Associate in Arts degree in Fire Science and Emergency Medicine from Shasta College. He worked as a firefighter and an emergency medical technician in Redding before leaving for Oregon. While in Oregon, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from Oregon State University in 2003 and a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the Oregon Health and Science University in 2005.
Jared returned to Redding and worked for Shasta Emergency Medical Group in the hospital emergency room. He also obtained hospital surgical assistant privileges and provided surgical assistant services for orthopaedic surgery. Jared joined Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2005 working with D. Bradley Jones. M.D.
Jared, his wife Jennifer and their son are very happy to be back home in Redding. He enjoys motorcycle riding and along with his family enjoys many outdoor activities including wakeboarding and camping.
